Government through the ministry of local government and Rural Development has continued to equip officers from the local authorities with skills to enhance communication of government vital information through a systematic approach to foster community engagements.

Speaking during the opening of the training, Director Administration (MLGRD) Mr. Ackson Habanji urged officers to take keen interest in informing the masses. He said the dashboard and the website are critical platforms that should be well managed so that the government policies and programs are widely circulated. He emphasized that the government is doing a lot of projects through CDF and cooperating partners, which should be publicised.

The training that is being financed by USAID-the Local Impact Governance Project is facilitated by officers from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, and it has attracted 2 Provinces, Central and Eastern provinces. Over 80 LA officers are in attendance.

Also, in attendance was MLGRD Director ICT Ms Bridget Beene, Representatives from ZDSP Mr. Edgar C Mulwanda.
