CHITAMBO ROAD NETWORK CHALLENGE RESOLVED

In a commendable effort to establish a comprehensive road network in Chitambo District, the Chitambo Town Council has successfully addressed the issue through the allocation of funds from the 2023 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).  As a result, a motor grader and a Tipper Truck have been procured.

The district has long suffered from inadequate road infrastructure, causing significant difficulties for residents in transporting their agricultural produce to the market. However, with the recent acquisition of these machines, there is renewed hope among the community.

The government has invested a substantial amount of K4,335,750.00 M to obtain this machinery, highlighting its commitment to improving the road network in Chitambo District. Once all the necessary formalities are completed, the equipment will be put into operation.

The Enhanced CDF funds, provided by the esteemed President Hakainde Hichilema and the government, along with favorable policies, have played a crucial role in addressing the road network challenges. The development of the road infrastructure will unlock the district’s economic potential, particularly in the areas of tourism and agricultural products.
