Addressing the audience, the District Commissioner stressed the importance of community collaborating with the Ward Development Committees (WDCs) to ensure that CDF projects in the district meet the needs of the people. He further highlighted that President Hakainde Hichilema’s government has empowered the people to have a say in the decision-making process through the WDCs, thereby promoting decentralization.
The Council Chairperson also emphasized the community’s responsibility to maintain and care for the infrastructure. He expressed his gratitude to the new-dawn government for implementing effective policies that have resulted in visible progress across the district.
Ms. Priscilla Ng’andwe Mwemba, the Chitambo District Education Standards Officer, expressed her appreciation on behalf of the education department for the implementation of CDF projects.
